Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts chicken breasts
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • 1. Marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk mixed with salt and pepper for at least 1 hour.
  • 2. Set up a breading station with one bowl of seasoned flour and another with beaten eggs.
  • 3. Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, then dip into the eggs, and coat again in flour.
  • 4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  • 5. Fry the coated chicken pieces until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes per side.
  • 6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with your favorite gravy.

Notes

For extra crispy coating, let the breaded chicken rest for 10-15 minutes before frying.
