Instructions
Brown ground beef in a large pot over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess grease.
Add diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Stir in chopped cabbage and cook for 5 minutes. Add diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. Mix well.
Add beef broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, paprika, oregano, salt, pepper, and bay leaf. Stir to combine.
Add uncooked rice. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 25-30 minutes until rice and cabbage are tender.
Remove bay leaf, adjust seasoning, and serve hot. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
For a healthier option, use brown rice and adjust seasoning to taste.
