Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
  • Green onions, thinly sliced

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large frying pan over medium to medium-high heat.
  • Slice chicken breasts lengthwise into four thinner pieces. Season with salt and pepper, then coat evenly with flour.
  • Cook floured chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from pan and set aside.
  • Melt remaining butter over medium-low heat. Cook sliced garlic for 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add soy sauce and vinegar, scraping pan bits. Stir in honey, pepper, and salt. Simmer 4-5 minutes until thickened.
  • Return chicken to pan, simmer in sauce for 1 minute until warm. Serve garnished with green onions.

Notes

For a lighter version, reduce the amount of butter and honey. Adjust garlic quantity based on personal preference.
